Appointments

Consultations are by appointment. You can make an appointment via :

We try to keep to appointment times and are sorry if sometimes you have to wait. This is due to some problems taking longer to deal with than anticipated.

You have the right to choose which doctor you prefer to see but this may result in you having to wait longer to get an appointment.

Children under 14 should be accompanied by an adult during consultations.

Urgent problems

If you have an urgent problem we may offer you:

  • An urgent appointment slot today
  • A telephone call back
  • Other appropriate advice

We cannot guarantee you will be seen the same day but we will do our best to accommodate you if the problem is urgent.

The receptionists may need to ask you for some information about your problem in order for us to help you. Please be assured that our staff work under a strict code of confidentiality.

It will greatly assist you in getting the most appropriate and timely treatment if you are prepared to give some detail about your problem.

Extended access

We are part of Hull extended access which offers additional appointments at evenings and weekends. The service will include appointments with GPs, Clinical Practitioners, First Contact Physiotherapists, Physician Associates, Practice Nurses, Nursing Associates and Healthcare Assistants. Our Care Navigation Team can book these appointments for you. Follow-up Appointments

If a doctor asks to see you again please try to make your appointment before you leave the surgery.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly.

Chaperone Policy

If you feel you would like a chaperone present at your examination then please inform your doctor/nurse who will be more than happy to arrange this for you.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. If you frequently do not attend (DNA) your appointments we may remove you from our patient list.
