Home visits are only for those patients who are too ill to come to the surgery. If possible telephone the surgery before 12:00 and explain the problem to the receptionist.
One of the doctors may ring you to discuss your problem.
Visits requested after 12:00 may be seen the following day unless they are urgent.
Home visits take up a lot of the doctors time and often are unnecessary. Please help us by coming into the surgery whenever and wherever possible as consultations at the surgery enable the doctor to use all the equipment available in order to make an informed diagnosis.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
